Bahá’ís of Tampa Bay Bicentennary celebrations continue into November

Baha’is of the Tampa Bay area invite the public to help mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Báb, (https://www.bahai.org/the-bab/) by holding free celebrations in homes and centers of faith throughout the community. Additional celebrations will be held to celebrate the birth of the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, Bahá’u’lláh (https://www.bahai.org/bahaullah/.)

These celebrations are meant to reinforce the vision of both the Báb (the forerunner of the Bahá’í Faith) and that of the founder of the Bahá’í Faith, Bahá’u’lláh,of the oneness of humanity.

The teachings of the Báb (1820-1805) and Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892) have spread around the world, forming the basis for a process of social transformation and community building which is unique in its global scope and the diversity of participants.

A few of the teachings include the oneness of humanity, elimination of prejudice, the independent investigation of truth, equality between men and women, the agreement between religion and science, and that there is only one God who created all of the major religions.
