Fauci stumbles over Texas

Remember when Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially repealed its mask mandate one month ago? The governor and the state got slammed by “public health” officials all around.

One notable voice was the mostly exalted, yet oft incorrect, Dr Anthony Fauci who called Texas’s move a “concern.”

“We understand people’s need to get back to normal, and we’re going in that direction. But when you start doing things like completely putting aside all public health measures as if you’re turning a light switch off, that’s quite risky,” Fauci said in one interview. “We don’t want to see another surge, and that’s inviting one when you do that.”

In another interview he stated, “What we don’t need right now is another surge, so just pulling back on all of the public health guidelines that we know work, and if you take a look at the curve we know it works, it just is inexplicable why you would want to pull back now.”

Well move forward one month…

When asked about Texas’ current situation on MSNBC, the top bureaucrat really struggled with an explanation:

“It can be confusing, because … often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect … I’m not really quite sure. It could be they’re doing things outdoors”

Well it’s been more than a few weeks and Fauci knows his reign over the American people is crumbling.

Truth is tough to dispute. Follow the science.

As AIER’s Jeffrey Tucker tweeted yesterday with an accompanying chart: Even I’m astounded by this Texas data. Totally open, no mask mandate, for an entire month. How the hell can the lockdown lobby not recognize that their whole paradigm has collapsed?
