Florida COVID-19 cases top 1,000; Palm Beach County records death

Florida state health officials reported this evening that the coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19 case count has eclipsed the 1,000 mark.

According to the latest published data, Florida has reported 1,007 total cases through Mar. 22–937 cases in residents and  70 in non-Florida residents.

The total positives are out of the more  than 10,000 tests performed.

In addition, an additional fatality was reported today in Palm Beach County, making that the 13th death reported to date.

So far, Dade and Broward counties have reported the most with 228 and 217 cases, respectively. This is followed by Palm Beach (72), Hillsborough (58), Duval (39) and Pinellas (38).
