Florida records 21 additional COVID-19 deaths

According to a Florida Department of Health (DOH) update early Saturday, officials reported twenty-one additional people have died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Bay, Broward, Dade, Escambia, Orange, Palm Beach, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties. This brings the total fatalities to 191.

Counties with the most deaths reported include Palm Beach (34), Broward (31) and Dade (30). 86 percent of deaths in Florida have been reported in people 65 years and older.

The case count has risen to 11,111 total cases–(10,760 in Florida residents). One third of the cases have been reported from Dade County (3667), followed by Broward (1792), Palm Beach (908), Orange (631) and Hillsborough (485).
