Early this week, unknown suspects forced entry through the locked gate to the victim’s property and stole her horse.

Deputies and the victim searched the surrounding area and later located the horse deceased in a nearby field. The horse had been slaughtered for the meat.
On Thursday, Manatee County deputies obtained surveillance video from the property (5800 block of Buckeye Rd, Palmetto) where a horse was stolen and later found slaughtered during the overnight hours of 12/01 – 12/02.
The unidentified male seen walking up the stables around 11:34 pm on 12/01 is being considered a person of interest at this time.
