National ACLU President Susan Herman Headlines ACLU of Florida Pinellas Chapter Bill of Rights Dinner

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida Pinellas County Chapter presents its 26th Annual Bill of Rights Dinner featuring a keynote address by Susan Hernan, National ACLU President, to honor Floridians fighting for freedom within the community. The dinner, which takes place on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 6:009:00pm at Banquet Masters (13335 49th Street North Clearwater, FL 33762), marks the chapter’s 50th anniversary.

National ACLU President Susan Herman will provide an insightful and motivating speech to celebrate the chapter’s 50th anniversary. The dinner will also feature ACLU of Florida Executive Director Howard Simon, who will give an overview of the ACLU’s resistance efforts over the past year.

“We are thrilled to have to such distinguished guests join us to celebrate our 50th anniversary and our chapter’s work protecting civil rights,” said Ray Arcenault, Pinellas Chapter president. “Our work wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of our ardent supporters in Pinellas County—this dinner is a tribute to their hard work.”

The ACLU of Florida Pinellas Chapter will present awards to Nadine Smith, Co-founder and CEO of Equality Florida and Mark Puente, a writer for the Tampa Bay Times, for their outstanding work towards protecting the civil rights and liberties of all Floridians.
