The Florida Chamber Foundation’s new daily COVID-19 Tracker shows that Hillsborough County and Pinellas County are moving in the right direction when it comes to meeting important White House Guidelines for Opening Up America Again.

This free COVID-19 Tracker is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on www.TheFloridaScorecard.org and provides county-by-county daily analysis of how each Florida county is performing against the federal 14-day rolling average decrease in the number of positive COVID-19 cases.

“The key to getting businesses back up and running, and workers back on the payroll is health metrics. TheFloridaScorecard.org is making it easy for Floridians to monitor if the health metrics in their county are moving in the right direction,” said Florida Chamber Foundation Chief Economist Dr. Jerry Parrish.

After unveiling the county level COVID-19 tracker during our weekly local chamber of commerce virtual meeting with 235 chambers, Tammy Bracewell, the leader of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals posted the following on Facebook: “The Florida Chamber has knocked it out of the park again with the addition of the COVID-19 box to the Florida Scorecard which allows you to pull data specific to every county in Florida.”

Already, leading local chambers are utilizing the analysis in their communities. The Chamber Foundation’s latest research is providing fact-based information on how coronavirus is impacting Florida’s 67 counties and 412 cities, and is available via www.theFloridaScorecard.org.  The Florida scorecard is maintained for the Chamber Foundation’s Community Development Partnership, and was made possible by a generous donation from the Huizenga Family Foundation.
