On Saturday, 11 US Senators and Senators-elect released a statement in advance of the Electoral College certification process on January 6, 2021 essentially saying they would object to certifying state Electoral College votes on Wednesday and called for resurrecting an Electoral Commission to conduct an emergency audit of the results.
The effort is led by Texas Senator Ted Cruz–joined by Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), John Kennedy (R-La.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), and Mike Braun (R-Ind.), and Senators-Elect Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.).
The Cruz-led effort and other Senators that may or may not question the election has drawn the ire of the left-leaning American political action committee made up by Republicans and former Republicans–The Lincoln Project.

“America is better than Jim Crow voter suppression,” the ad from the Lincoln Project said. “Tell these senators and their supporters you’ve had enough … Every vote counts. This is America.”
The Lincoln Project’s “mission statement” is holding accountable those who would violate their oaths to the Constitution and would put others before Americans, as noted on their website.
To get a taste of who the Lincoln Project is, let’s look very briefly at one of the co-founders: former Republican strategist, Steve Schmidt.
A multi-election loser, Schmidt has worked for some of the biggest warmongers the country has ever produced–Dick Cheney and John McCain. Doesn’t that say enough–did these men violate their oath or put others before Americans?
In fact, the Lincoln Project has garnered support from the neocon who’s who. The horrible Max Boot and Jennifer Rubin come to mind.
So it should boggle the mind that Democrats and left-leaning media is so enamored with Schmidt and the Lincoln Project…but it doesn’t, because the cause was anti-Donald Trump.
Schmidt joined the Democratic Party last month.
