Straz Center’s Patel Conservatory presents ‘Seussical, Jr’

The Straz Center’s Patel Conservatory will present Seussical, Jr. April 25-28 in the Straz Center for the Performing Art’s TECO Theater, sponsored in part by Valley Bank.

Performed by Patel Conservatory students in grades five through eight, this musical set in the world of Dr. Seuss features Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, the Whos and more favorite characters. This adventure features toe-tapping and touching songs from Tony®-winning composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and all the color and creativity expected from an adventure in the world of Dr. Seuss.

For children, performed by children, Seussical, Jr. will be directed by Matthew Belopavlovich, with musical direction by Sarah Tellier and choreography by Susan Downey.

Seussical, Jr. will be presented in TECO Theater April 25-28. Performances are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. A sensory friendly performance will be held Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. Regularly priced tickets start at $15 and may be purchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay, in person at the Straz Center Ticket Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.
