Tampa: University Area CDC offering free Wellness classes for women, deal with stress, goal setting, self-care

University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation) is offering free classes in topics like stress management, coping and mindfulness to women in the University Area, starting May 2.

“Our new program, called Wellness U, focuses on helping women become the best versions of themselves, helping participants to come together in a supportive community of women, to gain insight and perspective about their lives and relationships,” says Sarah Combs, CEO and executive director of University Area CDC.

Topics explored will include:

  • Goal Setting
  • Self-Care
  • Mindfulness
  • Finding Life Balance
  • Stress Management
  • Coping Skills

The group will meet at Harvest Hope Center at 13704 N. 20th St., Tampa, every Thursday from May 2 through June 6 from 6-8 p.m. Participants should commit to attend every meeting. To sign up, women should contact Erica Nelson at 813.558.5212 ext. 203, [email protected].
