Vietnam: Hanoi averages 2,500 COVID-19 cases daily for past 7 days

According to the Vietnam Ministry of Health, the Capital city of Hanoi has reported nearly 17,500 new COVID-19 cases in 7 days. 

In 7 days from January 2-8, Hanoi recorded an average of 2,500 cases of COVID-19 daily.

The Hanoi Department of Health on the evening of January 8 announced that in the past 24 hours, the city added 2,791 new COVID-19 cases, distributed in 386 communes, wards and towns in 30/30 districts, towns, an increase of more than 70 cases compared to the previous 24 hours. yesterday’s record. Of these, there are 504 community cases, the rest have been isolated.

Some districts and districts recorded many patients during the day such as: Dong Da (144); Hai Ba Trung (127); Hoan Kiem (118); Bac Tu Liem (88) and Thanh Tri (72).

The cumulative number of cases in Hanoi during the 4th outbreak (from April 29, 2021) is 68,147 cases.

Nationally, Vietnam reported 16,553 more COVID-19 cases in 62 provinces and cities Saturday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has had 1,876,394 infections. 

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam so far is 34,117 cases, accounting for 1.8% of the total number of infections.
