Amanda Makki Endorsed by Tampa-Bay Area Republican James Grant

On Monday, Amanda Makki received the endorsement of Republican State Representative James Grant to replace ineffective and extreme liberal Charlie Crist and bring conservative representation to Congress.

Representing parts of Hillsborough and Pinellas County in the Florida House, Representative Grant has been a strong, conservative voice for our community in Tallahassee.  Grant shares Amanda Makki’s vision for bold, conservative leadership, that’s why he endorses her as the clear, conservative choice to defeat Charlie Crist in November and get results for Pinellas County.

“The hard-working people of Pinellas County cannot count on Charlie Crist. For nearly three decades he’s been a political wind sock, being blown whichever way the wind goes. Our families and this community need real leadership to emerge from this crisis and we simply cannot trust Charlie,” said Grant.

Representative Grant’s support for Amanda was echoed recently by 20 other major endorsements. Her movement is growing because, in stark contrast to Charlie Crist’s nearly 30 unremarkable years in government, Amanda Makki has the right skills and experience to be effective in Washington. Her extensive background as a healthcare policy expert, her appointment by President George Bush to serve at the Pentagon just weeks after the Terrorist acts of 9/11, and her long commitment to defending our conservative principles, make her uniquely qualified to serve us and defeat Charlie Crist in November. She has received several endorsements from honored veterans including Senator Joni Ernst, the first female combat veteran ever elected to the United States Senate, Florida Congressional Representatives Lt. Colonel Michael Walt and Major Neal Dunn. In addition, Congressman John Rutherford, the former Sheriff for the City of Jacksonville, and Navy Seal Combat Veteran Robert O’Neal who shot Osama bin Laden have also endorsed Amanda.

Makki’s other endorsements include House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise, Physician Congressman Michael Burgess, Seminole City Councilor Thom Barnhorn, Belleair Beach Mayor Joseph Manzo and Treasurer Island Commission Tyler Payne. Also, Amanda Makki was named to the National Republican Campaign

Committee’s Young Guns program as one of the top 27 “Contender” candidates. Conservative groups Republican Main Street Partnership PAC, Maverick PAC, FreedomWorks, View PAC, Maggie’s List, Rep. Elise Stefanik’s E-PAC, that helps female GOP candidates get elected, American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Associated Builders & Contractors Florida Gulf Coast Chapter have all also endorsed Makki.

“I am honored to have the support from Representative Grant and appreciate his efforts on behalf of Pinellas County in Tallahassee.  It will take committed Republican leaders at every level of government to bring conservative change to our community, so I look forward to working with him to represent Pinellas County and to put us back on the road to recovery after COVID-19,” said Makki.
