Atom Tickets comes to Tampa, partners with Regal Cinemas, AMC and Studio Movie Grill

Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind mobile movie ticketing platform, expands its service to moviegoers across Dallas, Houston, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Kansas City, Charlotte and Raleigh. Atom Tickets launched previously in Los Angeles/Southern California, Atlanta and Nashville; in addition to select theaters across the U.S. and Canada. The platform will be available nationwide by the end of summer.

Atom makes it easy for moviegoers to check reviews and showtimes, conveniently coordinate movie outings amongst friends, and enables users to each pay separately. The innovative app allows users to pre-pay for concession items with just a few taps. Atom Tickets makes the entire moviegoing experience faster, easier, and more social than ever – providing a VIP experience that lets users bypass lengthy lines for tickets and concessions.

“Studio Movie Grill is another terrific partner for Atom Tickets, because they share our commitment to continually elevating and innovating the theater-going experience,” said Ameesh Paleja, co-founder and CEO, Atom Tickets.  “We’re so thrilled to bring Atom Tickets to these amazing cities with Regal, AMC and now Studio Movie Grill, and for local movie-lovers to give us this chance to demonstrate just how easy heading to the movies can be when you use our app. As a thank you for welcoming us into their hometowns, we wanted to give back by providing a free movie ticket that they can enjoy with friends and loved ones the first time they try us out.”

“Studio Movie Grill (“SMG”) exists to open hearts and minds one story at a time and is focused on giving our guests as many options and conveniences as possible,” said Brian Schultz, Founder/CEO, SMG. “The Atom Tickets app will help our families, groups and organizations effortlessly come together to enjoy the SMG experience.”

How it Works:
Atom Tickets re-imagines the most convenient way for users to plan a night out at the movies. Available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the app provides relevant reviews, trailers and synopses to help customers make the best decision on what to see. Moviegoers may then invite friends (via Facebook or their contact lists) to purchase their own tickets to join them. Atom Tickets enables seamless ordering of tickets and concessions from any Android or iOS phone. At the theater, consumers go directly to the ushers and concession counters, where they simply scan a QR code at tablet kiosks. Paper tickets and IOUs have been replaced by Atom’s innovative platform, which keeps all plans, messaging, payment and tickets in one place.
