CSTB will reduce hours for public services to the resource room and by appointment only for limited services. The resource centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. All people entering the facility will be directed to use hand sanitizer before entering the resource room and individuals with fever and flu-like symptoms will not be allowed access.

CSTB is postponing all public events to include job fairs, in-house recruitments, job seeker events and intensive services through March 31st, 2020. The changes will impact the following public offices:

• Tampa Center, 9215 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33612
• Brandon Center 9350 Bay Plaza Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619
• Ruskin Office, 201 14th Avenue, SE Ruskin, FL 33570
• Career Prep Center, 2605 North 43rd Street, Tampa, FL 33619
• Plant City Office, 307 N Michigan Ave, Plant City, FL 33563

The administrative offices will remain in operation but will not be open to the public. This will impact all CSTB programs such as the Summer Job Connection, Professional Talent of Tampa Bay, Veterans Services, WIOA, SNAP and Welfare Transition Program. These programs and our partner programs will provide limited essential services only. These limited hours will also apply to all onsite partners.

“The key is to limit exposure of the contagious coronavirus (COVID-19) to our staff and citizens,” said John Flanagan, CEO at CareerSource Tampa Bay. “This will be a challenge for all of those who utilize our services, but we hope people will understand the need to use caution during this time.”

CSTB will encourage employees to work remotely when possible and identify new responsibilities for staff who have public facing positions.

CareerSource Tampa Bay has 122 employees and 18 employees who work with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. CSTB will be working with DEO for guidelines related to their direct staff. CSTB will also be working closely with CareerSource Florida as this situation develops.

Board meetings, individual appointments and other services will be done via phone and customers will be urged to access services online and through www.EmployFlorida.com. Citizens who would like to get more information about CSTB services should go to our website at www.CareerSourceTB.com.
