The Florida Department of Health (DOH) reported today that there are currently 303 long-term care facilities in the state with positive cases of COVID-19, including four in Hillsborough County.
The facilities in Hillsborough County include Freedom Plaza in Sun City Center, Inspired Living At Tampa, Promise Pointe At Tampa Oaks in Temple Terrace and Rocky Creek Village in Town and Country.
Elsewhere in the Bay area, 25 facilities are in Pinellas County, five in Polk County, two in Pasco County and eight in Manatee County.
Health officials note that of the 1,785 cases of residents or staff in long-term care facilities statewide, 175 have died.
The number COVID-19 cases in Florida has eclipsed 26,000 and 774 deaths.
