Florida COVID-19 surge: Looking at some of the major counties

Florida is one of the two dozen or so states, particularly in the south and west, that have reported an increase or surge in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.

On Saturday, test results for more than 72,100 individuals were reported to DOH and 8,530 were positive for COVID-19.

During the pandemic, Florida has reported a total of 141,075 cases.

The death toll has risen by 29, bringing the total to 3,419.

In this video, I look at data from the Department of Health for the state and some of the most populous counties to see where they stand–number of total cases, number of cases this weekend, percentage of hospitalizations and percentage of deaths.
