Florida COVID-19 update, Governor DeSantis and President Trump press conference

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) puts the total coronavirus disease, or COVID-19 cases at 33,193 (32,318 in residents) and 1,218 deaths, according to the latest DOH data.

Counties reporting more than 1,000 cases include Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Hillsborough, Duval and Lee.

To date, 411 long-term care facilities in Florida associated with COVID-19 cases have been identified. This includes 1,244 positive residents and 1,213 staff members.

To date, 369 individuals that were staff or residents of a long-term care facility have died.
