The Florida Department of Health (DOH) saw it’s largest increase in newly confirmed COVID-19 cases with 5508 reported in today’s update.
Nearly 16 percent of the 36,300 tests performed Tuesday were positive. This brings the state total to 109,014.
The deaths of forty-four Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Charlotte, Collier, Dade, Hendry, Hillsborough, Martin, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota and St. Lucie counties.
The state’s death toll is now 3281.
