Hillsborough County cancels Parks and Recreation summer camps

Hillsborough County is canceling its Parks & Recreation summer camps due to coronavirus concerns.

The county claims the decision was made to protect the safety of the children, the families and those who teach and lead the camps. The closures also align with the with Hillsborough County Public Schools to cancel in-person summer classes.

In an effort to ensure the health and safety of residents, Hillsborough County is canceling its Parks & Recreation summer camps. Full refunds will be given to any families that have pre-registered.

The decision was made to protect the safety of children, their families, and Parks & Recreation staff who lead the camps. The closures align with a decision this week by Hillsborough County Public Schools to cancel in-person summer classes.
