Hillsborough County Solid Waste customers served by Waste Connections will temporarily receive residential recycling collection service every other week, beginning Monday, July 13.
On June 24, Waste Connections temporarily suspend recycling collection because many of the company’s truck drivers were unavailable to work due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. The amended every-other-week service calendar will allow Waste Connections to provide dependable recycling collection service as staffing levels gradually increase over the coming weeks.
If a recycling cart is placed at curbside on the wrong day, Solid Waste will have the driver place an orange sticker on it . The sticker will provide the website and phone number where customers can find out their next collection day.
Impacted residents can learn when their blue recycling cart is scheduled to be collected by visiting HCFLGov.net/WasteConnectionsRecycling.
