Texas Senator Ted Cruz and five other Republican Senators reintroduced an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would impose term limits on Members of Congress. The amendment would limit U.S. Senators to two six-year terms and members of the House of Representatives to three two year terms. Sen. Cruz said:
On Saturday, 11 US Senators and Senators-elect released a statement in advance of the Electoral College certification process on January 6, 2021 essentially saying they would object to certifying state Electoral College votes on Wednesday and called for resurrecting an Electoral Commission to conduct an emergency audit of the results.
