Tampa Road Rage: Leonardo Fernandez arrested for throwing nunchucks through a vehicle’s window

Hillsborough County deputies arrested a Tampa man was arrested Saturday afternoon for a road rage incident that allegedly throwing nunchucks through a vehicle’s window.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Linebaugh Ave. and Sheldon Rd. when 56-year-old Leonardo Fernandez cut off another driver.

The victim of the attack reportedly pulled up next to Fernandez and gestured for him to put his phone down because he believed he was texting and driving.

According to the victim, this prompted Fernandez to get angry eventually resulting in him throwing a pair of nunchucks through the victim’s rear window.

According to the arrest details, Fernandez was arrested for Throwing a Deadly Missile into an Occupied Vehicle, Criminal Mischief, and Violation of Probation.
