Tampa sponsors sought for fifth annual University Area CDC Gala set for September 23

Sponsors are being sought for the September 23 Brand New Day Gala, the fifth annual such event to support the University Area Community Development Corporation (CDC).

This fifth annual gala will raise much-needed funds for the University Area CDC, which works to improve the economic, education and social levels of the community through youth programs and adult education and resource assistance.

The memorable evening will begin at 6 p.m. as guests will ease on into the University Area CDC Community Center at 14013 N. 22nd St., Tampa, 33613, which will be stunningly decorated according to the theme of the popular Broadway show and film, The Wiz.

Patrons will be treated to a tantalizing dinner and a dessert bar, followed by presentations by community speakers and live entertainment. Rounding out the evening will be the opportunity to dance to music by the amazing DJ’s of Ultimate Entertainment.

“We’ve chosen this theme of The Wiz, with emphasis on the Brand New Day, because we wanted our fifth gala to reflect the spirit of this new era that is dawning for the university area.  We are improving our community brick by brick. We have accomplished so much in recent years, with so many exciting things on the horizon toward the improvement of our community,” said Wendy Leigh, chief development and marketing chief.

Sponsorship levels range from $1,000 to $15,000, with the top tier receiving 24 tickets (private tables) to both the Gala and the Private VIP reception, including the opportunity to speak to the reception audience; prominent recognition in media and marketing materials; banner displayed at gala and verbal acknowledgement; full-page ad in event program; name or logo on event cover and more.
