“Tolerance” of the left and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in action:
On Thursday, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Stuart Kyle Duncan came to Stanford Law School upon invitation of the Stanford Federalist Society’s to speak on “Covid, Guns, and Twitter.”
By now you may have figured Steinbach’s position at Stanford is the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion!
This explains why the speaker and not the unruly students were scolded.
The situation was so off-the-charts unacceptable that The Stanford Review has called for the firing of Tirien Steinbach.
Fortunately, Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Stanford Law School Dean Jenny Martinez sent an apology letter to Judge Duncan which said in part:
“what happened was inconsistent with our policies on free speech, and we are very sorry about the experience you had while visiting our campus.
“staff members who should have enforced university policies failed to do so, and instead intervened in inappropriate ways that are not aligned with the university’s commitment to free speech.
“We are taking steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again. Freedom of speech
is a bedrock principle for the law school, the university, and a democratic society, and we can
and must do better to ensure that it continues even in polarized times.”
Judge Duncan graciously accepted the apology.
