An argument that started Friday afternoon at the Club Vape kiosk at the Westfield Brandon mall led to one person getting shot outside the mall.
Now, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) announced the arrest of the suspect Saturday night.
Quran Deandre Johnson, 19, was arrested while operating a stolen vehicle. He faces charges of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Simple Battery.
According to a sheriff’s office spokeswoman, an argument between two men broke out around 4 p.m. Friday near the Club Vape kiosk in the mall. The men then went outside and continued to argue.
Once they were both outside, deputies said one of the men shot the other. The person who fired shots then left the scene in a car, the spokeswoman said.
The victim was taken to Tampa General Hospital and is expected to be OK.
